Spiritual Warfare

Let’s put part of the whole armor of God for this. Ephesians 6: 11 – 17 All right, that is, loins girt with truth, breastplate of righteousness, feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. And of course pray always.

Part on the armor, is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ummm I know some preachers who have a lot of the Bible memorized. They would be good at spiritual warfare. But I only have a little bit memorized. This thought makes Spiritual Warfare very scary. You think, My sword isn’t big enough!

David killed Goliath with a sling and a stone. And his reward was a huge sword, Goliath’s sword. David took 5 stones. He didn’t think he might miss. David knew he would kill Goliath with the first shot. But David also knew that Goliath had 4 brothers. So he took 5 stones. David was offered Saul’s armor, part of that was Saul’s sword. But it wasn’t David’s. But David had Spirit!

Go out and kill your giant with what you have. Do not be intimidated, just because you don’t have a whole lot of scripture memorized. You have what you need. And you will be rewarded with a Giant-sized word of God. (The sword)
